AntiSpam and AntiVirus Mail Box
Subscription with HomeLink International - Spain and Latinamerica includes the use of a secure mailbox for the reception and delivery of correspondance between its participating members. The mailbox includes the following:
- Web & POP Access - Email account holders can access mail through their favorite POP client (Eudora, MS Outlook, etc.) or a web-based interface that is compliant with all popular web browsers, and offers the same functionality and features as a POP client.
- Address Book - Email account holders can pre-approve mail from various sources, including individual email addresses and entire domains. Once pre-approved, a sender's mail will bypass other tests for spam.
- Sender Assurance - When email is received from an unknown source, email account holders have the option of auto-deleting the message, or auto-replying with a one-time assurance link. Senders can approve themselves by clicking the link, and account holders then have the option of retaining or deleting the sender from their address book.
- Sender Queue & Filter Log - View an organized list of email that has either been deleted or held in queue. Those details can then be used by the account holder to approve pending Sender Assurance responses or to modify anti-spam/virus settings that may be inadvertently catching specific email they wish to receive.
- Recipient Verification - Block incoming email that does not reference an email account holder's address, or spam mailings where their email address is one of many listed within the To and Cc headers of a message.
- Recipient Approval - Approves exceptions to the Recipient Verification feature to accommodate mail lists and similar messages where the list name is displayed in place of the email account holder's address.
- Custom Spam Filters - Tools to create rules to block unwanted email messages. References single or compound text strings that appear in the headers or bodies of unwanted messages, and specifies the action to be taken (delete, forward, save, etc.) when an incoming message matches defined criteria.
- Virus Protection - The virus identification list is updated every 10 minutes, throughout the day. Email is scanned at the server and viruses removed to prevent delivery to an account holder's system.
